Remember the Delray Beach controvesy?
After much back-and-forth, that issue has been finally settled.
And not a moment too soon.
Totally unsurprisingly, we now have proof that fishing for Sharks (and I might add: for other Fishes as well!) right in the middle of other aquatic recreationists is simply reckless and dangerous.
Yes, pissed-off Sharks do bite people!
Read Martin's post on the issue here.
I doubt it that was intentional targeting - but who knows, that's what they all say!
PS - this is the video of the strike.
The asshole should be in jail.
PPS - good decision: the pier remains closed to fishing for the next two months - more details here!
PPPS - so it turns out the dude has been illegally landing GWS before - and why am I not surprised!

Do you use different hooks when baiting for mackerel?
Yes quite probably - and fish in a different location! :)
It's always great when idiots can catch their own stupidity on camera and in action for the rest of us to observe. The fisherman should be arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, however, those swimmers were traveling a path that lead them next to baited fishing lines.....perhaps the IQ levels for all parties involved should be reevaluated......except for the shark.
