Out of the Cage!

Ron and Val, Stan, Peter Gimbel.

Blue Water White Death.
And yes, that would be in 1971, forty-one years ago!
You can read Valerie's diary here, starting approx half-way down the page.
Epic!

Originals, copied by the current crop of media savvy "golly-look-at-me" types.

If they ever invent time travel, screw ancient Rome, I want to be on that boat the day the decided to get wet - sans cage.

Unfortunately I could not find that clip.
But the scene when they left the cage in SA to film those hundreds of OWTs feasting on the dead whale is to me, the greatest Shark footage ever filmed, never to be repeated again as never will there be as many OWTs again.

Those are the real trailblazers who have combined their hunger for adventure and discovery with deep knowledge and yes, crazy bravery.

- I had to smile when I read the above as this is exactly my all time favourite shark footage also.

BLUE WATER WHITE DEATH was the film that started it all for me. The Oceanic Whitetips dive will always be one of the best that I have ever seen as well, and for those of you that would love to see it...I just uploaded it for you.
